Thanks for this article! Good descriptions and samples, very helpful. I was totally unaware of the new ReadXxx methods to simplify cursor control in .NET 2.0 -- I was still using a bunch of helper methods written for .NET 1.x.

Yep, I'm continually impressed with the System.Xml team and their focus on pragmatics. They keep identifying the most common scenarios and optimize to make them easier & faster.

Do you know if any benchmark test details are available concerning the performance characteristics, especially the XSL transforms.

That was really intersting. At least we are not ignorant of what is going on with system.Xml. I wouldn't be surprise if it will have another intersting feature soon.
