I'm spending a few hours this weekend sketching out my two
PDC talks for real.
Both two talks are on roughly the same surface area and differ primarily in terms of focus.
The "Architecture" Talk: Applications and Communications Roadmap: Platform Presents and Futures
The "Developer" Talk: Workflow + Messaging + Services: Developing Distributed Applications with Workflows
The architecture talk has more surface area to cover, but the basic story is the same.
The challenge will be to make sure the architecture talk doesn't turn into a "French philosophy" talk, and that the developer talk doesn't become too much of a live coding fest and actually tells a story.
I'm taking the approach
ChrisAn and I discussed last year of writing a white paper and doing title-slide-only PPTs for the talk. What I'm hoping is that the same white paper will serve as the spine of both talks.
