The next PDC is coming in September. It looks to have a lot of great content: I could do the normal song on all the great stuff on Windows Vista (nee' Longhorn), SQL, Visual Studio, Indigo, Avalon, etc. However, I won't. I'd hope that you'd expect that we'd put together a conference with a huge amount of solid content, and that cheerleading from me would be unnecessary.
What I will say instead is that there will be some great talks on Indigo (the framework built by the overall group I'm in), that presently I'm looking forward to a really cool talk on what we're doing around transactions since .Net 2.0 (i.e. Longhorn and Indigo), including both the transaction management changes and the integration of the transacted file and registry services (currently listed as Windows Vista ("Longhorn"): Improving Reliability with the New System.Transactions Classes, File System and Registry Transactions).
Finally, I'm currently scheduled to attend and should be copresenting the transactions talk. I'll be there the full PDC, and am really looking forward to meeting and talking to people while I'm there. I hope that if you follow this blog, and are attending the PDC, that you look me up. I think we've been doing some great work, and look forward to the chance to see how it connects -- and where we should improve.
