As many of you have already discovered, the
SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition download links I posted back on 18-Dec-2006 are no longer valid. Depending on which download link you choose you may get anything from an RC1 download to a "the download you requested is unavailable" message.
Most of these links were initially valid when I posted them but Microsoft encountered some technical issues shortly afterwards which has led to the destination of the links being rolled back to their pre-release state. At the time it was my understanding that the roll-back was to be short lived. Obviously this is not the case.
Right now I have no further information on when the downloads will be back online. As soon as the links are back, I'll be sure to post it on my blog and post an update message on the
page with the links.
