Just a short post this Christmas Eve to wish everyone Happiness and a Merry Christmas. We all know very well that working with technology can be frustrating and challenging at times. No one is immune…

  • You've probably found that the SQL Server Compact Edition download links from Microsoft are no longer working correctly.
  • The brand new iPod Nano I bought my wife for Christmas froze while attempting to sync it via iTunes - It took several attempts at the restart sequence to bring it back.
  • The new slide-show picture frame that shows rotating pictures from an SD-Card my wife bought me for Christmas, refused to turn on so she had to run back to the store hours before closing tonight (Christmas Eve) and fortunately exchanged it for the last one they had left.

My point is that whether we're dealing with technology for work or at home, there will always be problems. These things used to get me down but finally after 41 years on this planet, I'm starting to understand that it doesn't really matter. What matters is our friends, family, and those we love.

Throughout this holiday week, I'll be spending as much time as I can with my wife and our two cats (and some human friends as well). It's the people, pets and relationships that truly make life wonderful, and make all the frustrations we face worthwhile. So I'll close this holiday post with a picture of the two boys in my life who can always make me smile no matter what kind'a pain and frustration technology throws my way.

Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Week!!
