I am 42 and for some unknown dumb reason I play tennis tournaments where I may play 2-3 matches a day. Why do we put ourselves through this pain? And, in team play, if we do well, I go to playoffs where have to play 5 matches over 2 days in 95+ degree heat. I need to quit, or find some other way to compete.

Best treatment? Rest 2 days between activity.

Ultracet.

Ultracet.

I'm 49 years young and play hockey 2-3 times per week. What I found as being the best treatment from said ailment is to drink down a jug of whey protein within about 30 minutes of the workout. I do about 25-30 oz. Helps re-hydrate and the protein (amino acids) helps in muscle recovery. I use EAS, but there are many brands. I rarely feel the soreness and weakness that I used to.

But there actually is a good chance that this will be cured in our lifetimes. There are already designs for artificial red blood cells that have so much more capacity than your biological ones that you could literally hold your breath for an hour.
