Deep in the trenches of SIGGRAPH 2014, Digital-Tutors embedded reporters caught up with Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of The Foundry Simon Robinson. We were able to get Robinson's insights into the company's evolution over the last 18 years and how the NUKE app helped turned the company into a major player in the VFX market. Robinson also opened up about some future plans with respect to projects and market initiatives in addition to making their software more affordable and easier to use. These strategies are targeting users who increasingly are "artists rather than technicians." Other discussion points include the company's move to integrating with cloud-based workflows and current and future collaborations with Chaos Group, makers of V-Ray.
