Unity Game Engine Now Free to Sony Developers

About eighteen months ago, Unity Technologies entered into a platform agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment to develop Unity for PlayStation tools. These tools were created to allow both major and independent developers to easily port their games to PS3 and PS4. Unity has continued to integrate its engine with PS with every successive release. Now, Unity has made adapting games to PlayStation's electronics easier by providing  all licensed PlayStation developers access to Unity for PlayStation tools for free. To get the PlayStation ready versions of Unity Pro, you simply have to contact a PlayStation representative to discuss becoming an approved developer. Unity's move is only one in a series of free give-a-ways by company's, like Epic, with the purpose of seeding their products and democratizing its use to as many game designers as possible.
