Putting our purpose first: Meet our new executives
There are a lot of inputs that add up to making someone a great fit for your organization. They have the right experience. The right attitude. A passion for learning. A belief in always doing what’s right. But none of this matters if they don’t believe in your company’s purpose.
Our purpose is this: To democratize professional technology learning. To give as many people in the world as possible access to a technology learning platform that helps them push their boundaries and be better at what they love to do. Today, we announce two new members of our team who first and foremost believe deeply in this purpose: Anita Grantham joins us as our Chief People Officer, and Joe DiBartolomeo is our new Chief Revenue Officer.
Putting equal focus on our people and our revenue will drive our purpose forward. There are 75 million technologists around the globe and most of them work at organizations that are struggling to keep up with the disruption caused by constantly evolving technology. Our platform exists to solve this exact problem.
As we experienced tremendous growth over the last few years, it became apparent that we had to do two things to continue to be successful in order to stay true to our purpose: We had to continue to invest in our company culture, commit to hiring and retaining the right people, and uphold our core values. We are also continuing to build strong customer relationships within large companies where professionals are eager to keep their skills current, solve problems faster and discover new opportunities for growth.
Meet Anita Grantham, Pluralsight CPO
Anita has built an inspiring career at companies such as LifeLock and Infusionsoft. She believes in always putting a company’s culture and purpose first, but that people ops can also drive immense value to the organization. She strives to do this by preserving the core values and the foundation from which we built Pluralsight. Anita will stimulate progress and embrace change using key principles from leadership expert and author Jim Collins’ teachings.
Meet Joe DiBartolomeo, Pluralsight CRO
Joe has more than 25 years of experience at technology companies, such as Qlik and Oracle. He helps businesses grow, scale and make better decisions by being data driven. But above all, he’s passionate about building great teams and delighting our customers in every interaction they have with us.
A focus on revenue and people—skeptics may say they’re mutually exclusive. I disagree. At Pluralsight, we won’t shy away from one at the expense of the other because we know achieving our purpose depends on both. If we’re going to reach more learners, every day, we need to sustain the culture that fuels the people who make that happen. Welcoming Anita and Joe is another step toward democratizing professional technology learning. We’re thrilled to have them along for the journey.
