A few minutes after the first Google Africa Developer Scholarship program acceptance emails went out, enthusiastic tweets from the recipients came flooding in from across Africa. The program, which was built in partnership with Google Africa, Andela and Pluralsight, will help 1,000 developers get their Google certification for Android and Mobile Web for free. It’s a competitive program where only the most dedicated learners are chosen to move onto the next stage.
