
The Shadow Catcher Technique
Often times when you're working in CINEMA 4D, you need to composite a 3D rendered object over a 2D footage background. This will present issues for your shadow because you can't have geometry in the shot to catch the shadow without rendering the geometry. In this tutorial, we learn how to use the shadow catcher plug-in as well as how to overcome the issue of not having it as a separate pass when you're ready to composite it.
