Description

The MS-101 exam is the final of the three exams in the Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert certification. It tests against the mobility and security features that make up a Microsoft 365 subscription. It's also a rather curious exam that explores these components at a level that's a mile wide and an inch deep.

In this course, Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security: Introduction, the first of four in this learning path, you'll be introduced to the mission for this learning path. First, you'll explore the Microsoft certification details. Next, you'll learn about the MS-101 exam and required prerequisite knowledge. Finally, you'll discover how to prepare your lab environment. By the end of this course, you'll be aligned with the MS-101 certification, and be able to explore the virtual machines and M365 tenant you'll want to provision as you follow along.

Description

Controlling and managing devices that access company data is core to the mobility and security features of Microsoft 365. These activities are also almost half of the MS-101 exam. They're manifested through a rather complex collection of sometimes-overlapping solutions that make up the Microsoft Endpoint Manager umbrella.

In this course, Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security: Modern Device Services, the second course out of four in this learning path, you'll learn about MEM's two-device management solutions in Configuration Manager and Intune, including their co-management configuration. First, you'll explore deeply the configuration and use of co-management between Configuration Manager and Intune. Next, you'll discover, once integrated, the device compliance functionality gained from these two tools together, including the use of conditional access policies. Finally, you'll look at the planning activities in application deployment and management, including a quick exploration into Mobile Application Management through the implementation of Intune's App Protection Policies. By the end of this course, you'll be better equipped to manage a Microsoft 365 environment.

Description

Microsoft 365 comes equipped with a broad array of security and threat management solutions. So many, in fact, that the most difficult part of using them is first understanding them, and knowing where one feature set ends and the others begin.

In this course, Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security: Security and Threat Management, the third course of four in this learning path, you'll start with a broad exploration of the threat protection solutions with Microsoft Defender. First, you'll implement Defender for Office 365 policies, integrate Defender for Identity, and then Defender for Endpoint to aggregate security signals across your cloud, server, and device components. Next, you'll plan and implement Microsoft Cloud App Security to discover and control the cloud applications used by our users. Finally, you'll explore, once integrated, the visualizations and dashboards these solutions surface that provide deep-level access to bad behaviors, malware activities, and inappropriate application accesses. By the end of this course, you'll have an understanding of the features and integrations between the threat management solutions spanning from Office 365 security policies, to Azure identity security, to Cloud App Security, and even down to the individual device with Defender for Endpoint.

Description

The topics of security on one side and governance and compliance on the other are similar in scope, but uniquely different in what they aim to accomplish. In a Microsoft 365 environment, you generally implement security controls to protect against bad behaviors from the outside. It's the bad behaviors from the inside that are generally the purview of governance and compliance controls. In this course, Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security: Governance and Compliance, the final course in this learning path, you'll learn about the quite broad range of tools Microsoft supplies to handle the compliance and governance issues in a Microsoft 365 tenant. First, you'll explore the compliance regulations themselves, down to the very specific configurations required by each regulatory control, and how Microsoft 365 Compliance Center surfaces an easy-to-use interface for identifying and resolving each requirement. Next, you'll dig into information governance by way of retention policies and retention labels. Then, you'll learn about the broad range of information protection solutions in Microsoft 365 that can extend across both cloud and on-premises infrastructure components, including the use of Data Loss Protection policies for, among other things, preventing the exfiltration of data. Finally, you'll discover the search, eDiscovery, and other investigation solutions Microsoft 365 surfaces for helping you, and others, find data wherever it might hide. By the end of this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to be able to handle the governance and compliance issues in Microsoft 365.
