New Fan-Based Film, Halo: Humanity Coming Soon

‌‌
The number of fan-made projects continue to increase around the world. With 3D software and hardware becoming more available to artists outside studios, there's a growing interest in fan-based production. Often these projects are based on an already established franchise like Star Wars or Metal Gear Solid, and they spring from the love many fans have for these films and games. Fan films like Galactic Battles look to contribute to the series in a meaningful and unique way. Many projects often spawn from the vision of a single person who eventually rallies together friends and colleagues for help. Kickstarters are usually the next step along with the recruitment of more seasoned artists who want to donate their talents and time . Halo: Humanity is a new fan-based film project headed up by Robert J. Merritt that's looking to bring a unique story to the Master Chief's already epic saga. Although details about the film's plot have yet to surface, we've gotten a recent look at some of really great 3D modeling going on behind the scenes. Aleckperov latest credits included some impressive cinematic environments for the Halo 2 Anniversary Edition cut scenes assigned to Blur Studios. For the Halo:Humanity project, Aleckperov is making a fully detailed exterior and interior Longsword model.
