From top candidate to
team member

You love to tackle tough problems like we do. It’s basically a match made
in tech heaven. Read on to learn how our hiring process works.

A surprise-free hiring process

Surprises can make for a happy birthday, but a happy hiring process? Not so much. We want you to know exactly what to expect when applying for a role at Pluralsight, so we’re being transparent about our process. If our mission, vision, and values speak to you, we want to speak to you too.

Keep in mind, the steps you see at right aren’t set in stone. We may change things up (we’re flexible like that), but we’ll keep you in the loop.

  • Application

Check out our open roles, find the ones that most excite you, and submit your applications. Career gaps and switches on your resume? No worries—we totally welcome those.

  • Resume review

Our recruiters will review your resume to see if your career story matches the job description and success criteria. Fingers crossed it does!

  • CCAT assessment

The Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT) helps us learn more about mental agility, skills, and abilities and identify strong problem solvers and learners, regardless of background or education.

  • Phone screen with recruiter*

Congrats! We loved your application. Now it’s time for a quick call with a Pluralsight recruiter who will chat with you about the role, your experience, and your “why Pluralsight.”

  • Interview with hiring manager*

Next up, the hiring manager. This is where you’ll get Zoom close and personal with your (possible) future people leader. Remember to prep your career story and put your best face forward.

  • Interview(s) with the team*

Team interviews are the ideal time to figure out if this is the right role for you. You’ll answer—and ask—some good questions and score a sneak peek into team dynamics.

  • Offer

Congrats! You totally knocked our socks off. Your recruiter will reach out to you with the details of your offer and what to expect next. If you live outside the US, you’ll receive an employment contract as well.

  • Background check

The background check isn’t the most exciting thing you’ll do here, but you've totally got this.

  • New hire orientation

Best. Two days. Ever. No, really. We’ve packed our new hire orientation with all the info you need to be successful here—and the swag to make you look good while doing it.

*Pluralsight would like to establish certain guidelines to ensure mutual respect and fairness throughout the interview process. With this in mind, recording interviews will be prohibited, as respecting each other's privacy and confidentiality is of utmost importance to us. Additionally, while we acknowledge the advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), please refrain from using any tools or aids to enhance your interview responses. Violation of these guidelines may result in disqualification from the interview process. We believe in upholding fairness and transparency, and adherence to these policies ensures an equitable experience for all candidates.

What’s the CCAT?

We’re glad you asked!

What it is

The Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT) is a personality and cognitive assessment and one of several data points we consider for all company candidates. It gauges future achievement and performance by measuring job-specific traits that are indicators of success in the role and at the company.

Why we have it

The CCAT is just one piece of the hiring process puzzle. But it’s an early piece that helps us learn more about mental agility, skills, and abilities as we identify strong problem solvers and learners, regardless of background or experience. It also allows us to spot candidates who will enhance our culture and diversity and star performers who can adapt and grow with us.

What you can expect

We’ll give you a few days to complete the CCAT. The assessment has a variety of questions—logic and math, verbal, and spatial reasoning—with accommodations for English-language learners and applicants with disabilities. Set yourself up for success with at least one practice test (your recruiter will tell you more about prep resources) before you take the real thing. And give yourself some solid non-distracted time for both.

New hire orientation

Two (very) full days

If there were an award for Best New Hire Orientation, we’d totally win it. Our two-day orientation is a mix of live and recorded sessions packed with ice breakers, team intros, and “we’re glad you’re here” vibes.

The warmest of welcomes

If you haven't fallen in love with Pluralsight yet, you will once you learn about our mission, values, company strategy, the way we work, the causes we support, and how much we genuinely care for our team members.

quote

As someone who’s worked at large and small companies across different sectors, I've never thought about my onboarding experience as a highlight, but it’s still one of my favorite early experiences. The sessions are engaging—you get the information you need while meeting great people and establishing a solid foundation for what life is like here. I've told multiple people that PS onboarding was everything I would hope for as a new hire.
