Understanding data modeling is fundamental to understanding Salesforce. This course will teach you about standard and custom objects, object relationships, and how to decide when objects and specific relationships need to be created.

This course will break down data modeling into easy-to-understand concepts, and demonstrate how to configure data modeling in a Salesforce Org. In this course, Advanced Data Modeling in Salesforce, you will learn when to create custom objects and how to create relationships between objects to meet business needs. First, you will explore recognizing the need to create custom objects and how to create them. Next, you will discover how to determine what relationships those custom objects need to have with other objects. Finally, you will learn how to determine whether to use Lookup or Master-detail fields in object relationships, and when and how to use filters. When you are finished with this course, you will have the skills and knowledge of advanced data modeling needed to configure and customize any Salesforce Org.
