Creating Blood FX in Maya and RealFlow

In this tutorial, we will learn about creating 3D blood effects using RealFlow 2013 and Maya 2013. Software required: RealFlow 2013 and Maya 2013.

What you'll learn

In this tutorial, we will learn about creating 3D blood effects using RealFlow 2013 and Maya 2013. Throughout the training, we will identify the types of blood effects used and set up CG blood squibs, including RealFlow blood simulations. We will then look at using Maya fluids to create secondary elements to add that little bit of extra to the final render. The goal of this training is to be able to render professional-looking blood FX. Software required: RealFlow 2013 and Maya 2013.

About the author

Andy Guest is an artist with over fifteen years of commercial experience in 3D VFX and motion graphics. He graduated with 1st class BA [Hons] in Multimedia Design, and has gone on to work at production companies including The Mill and Double Negative.
