Designing and Interacting with Sisense Dashboards

by Vitthal Srinivasan

This course will teach you how to build intuitive and responsive dashboards to enable all round analysis of business data.

What you'll learn

Business intelligence involves looking at data from multiple dimensions to gain a big-picture understanding of what it contains. In this course, Designing and Interacting with Sisense Dashboards, you’ll learn to create and configure dashboards which make it easy for users to extract meaningful insights from your data.

First, you’ll explore why dashboards are useful, and how these can be created in Sisense. You will see how individual widgets can be composed into dashboards, and how the designer mode and the view mode offer different functionality.

Next, you’ll discover various techniques to improve the quality of your dashboards, from both analysis and performance perspectives. You will implement both widget-level and dashboard-level filters, and see how they resemble and differ from each other.

Finally, you’ll learn how to set up alerts when your underlying data meets a specific condition using the Sisense Pulse feature. You will configure a threshold for a value displayed in a widget and implement a mechanism to receive notifications when that threshold is crossed.

When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of dashboards and pulse alerts needed to enable users to glean actionable insights from your data, and to be alerted when that data changes to meet a specific condition.
