What you'll learn

This set of tutorials will teach you how to work more productively inside of Maya with the help of Python. We'll start by learning how Python can be used to script a tool that will quickly hide or show items in our viewport. We'll then take it a step further and learn how to hide objects automatically when our file is opened. We'll then learn how to export code with Python. We'll learn how to build a tool that will quickly generate a chain of joints according the setting that have been defined in our UI. To conclude the course, we'll learn how to create and manage a Text Scroll List so that we can create an efficient constraining tool. By the end of this training, you will have the understanding you need to improve your skill-set in Python so that you can be an even greater asset to your team. Software required: Autodesk Maya 2014.
