Junos OS and the Border Gateway Protocol
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is the only routing protocol capable of handling the number of subnets that exist on the public internet. This course teaches you the basics of using BGP, such as autonomous systems, attributes, and how to configure BGP.
What you'll learn
The Internet is basically one huge network and a network of this size needs a scalable and reliable dynamic routing protocol that can handle the amount of subnets that exist on the Internet. There is only one routing protocol that is up to this task: The Border Gateway Protocol, more commonly known as BGP. In this course, Junos OS and the Border Gateway Protocol, you'll learn all you need to know in order to understand and configure this dynamic routing protocol in Junos OS. First, you'll explore the basics of BGP and autonomous systems. Next, you'll discover how BGP decides which path is the best path across a large network such as the internet. Finally, you'll gain knowledge of how to configure BGP in Junos OS. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the necessary skills and knowledge to configure and support the Border Gateway Protocol on Junos OS based devices.

About the author
