In the late spring of 2014, Rob Ashton visited the Tekpub offices in Hawaii and Rob Conery sat with him and discussed the career shift he was currently going through. Rob dropped everything - his current job, his apartment, most of his possessions - and got on a train headed for Scotland. From there he began his odyssey: traveling the world and coding for free. His only request was that you pay for his travel expenses and put a roof over his head. This might not be the path for everyone - but it's inspiring to hear Rob's story about taking control of his life and career, giving himself the freedom to choose what he wants to do.
