Hugo E. Valle is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Weber State University. He received his Ph.D. in Physics in 2008 and MSc. in Physics in 2006, both from Vanderbilt University (Nashville TN). His research interests are in the fields of Internet of Things (IoT), Data Visualization, Software Development for particle detectors, sensors, microelectronics, and embedded systems, as well as computational science. Hugo enjoys to developed object-oriented software based on C/C++, Python, Perl and other UNIX-related languages. He also enjoys development of applications for data visualization on big displays. During his time as a graduate student, he worked on the reconstruction of real and simulated data using parallel computing in an advance-computing center. After graduate school, he worked in industry for a software payment solutions company. On his free time he enjoys spending time with his family biking and skiing. He also loves to play board games and watch soccer games.
