Which Movies Inspire Creativity as a CG Artist?

‌‌
As CG technology in movies continues to improve we can’t help but feel inspired by its amazing display of digital artistry, and wonder if we can recreate some of it using Autodesk and Adobe applications. One of our guest instructors, Simeon Patarozliev, actually put this into effect. He finds the background art of Studio Ghibli’s artist Kazuo Oga so inspirational that he recreated one of his backgrounds from My Neighbor Totoro into an impressive 3D scene using 3ds Max. Indeed, creative inspiration can come from any where, and if you’re a CG artist then there’s definitely a movie out there that triggered your creative senses based on its artistic values or CG effects, and we would like to know about it. It doesn’t have to be a whole movie. Maybe the special effects were stunning, or perhaps there was just one scene that made your jaw drop. It also doesn’t have to be only one movie, so feel free to share as many as you like, but be sure to tell us what is it about that movie that triggered your creative senses. All you have to do is tell us: [gravityform id="10" name="2014-12-Movie Inspiration" title="false" description="false"]
