The video above shows the kind of spirit Google is looking for in these "Explorers," the term the company is applying to people who will first get the glasses. It expands on this on the Google.com/Glass site:
We're looking for bold, creative individuals who want to join us and be a part of shaping the future of Glass. We'd love to make everyone an Explorer, but we're starting off a bit smaller. We're still in the early stages, and while we can't promise everything will be perfect, we can promise it will be exciting.
The contest deadline is February 27. Applying is as simple as submitting info on what you would do with the glasses via Twitter or Google+ with the hashtag #ifihadglass. Participants must be over 18 and live in the U.S. Up to five pics and a video may also be included. Easy, right? Oh, yeah, and in addition to forking over the $1,5000, the people who are chosen will also have to appear at a "a special pick-up experience" in person in New York, LA or San Francisco, so winning this contest means you also win the opportunity to purchase airfare for yourself!
