New Pluralsight features: Iris enhancements and new AI translations

From quick knowledge checks and AI-powered learning that surfaces the right content at the right time to translations that break down language barriers, these new features streamline learning and accelerate outcomes.

Pluralsight Iris is an AI-powered learning tool that delivers personalized learning experiences through natural, conversational guidance.

With this latest release, we’re making it even easier to personalize your learning experience and build skill confidence with two new features: course assistance and expanded just-in-time knowledge checks.

When you think of a question while watching a video, you want an answer immediately. Using the new course assistance feature, learners can now ask Iris questions and get answers at once, without needing to pause the video and navigate to other sites. 

Course assistance within Iris features:

• Instant in-video Q&A: Learners can ask questions about the exact video clip they’re watching, and Iris will answer in seconds.

• Accurate answers: Iris uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to ensure responses are accurate and sourced from the specific video content and transcript, not unverified external data.

• Smart navigation: Iris provides context-aware suggestions to help learners review previous course segments, dive deeper into the current topic, or jump ahead to a related concept within the course.

Course assistance is now available in all courses across our entire content library.

When you’re watching a video, it can be hard to know if you’ve really understood the concept. Just-in-time knowledge checks give learners a way to validate their knowledge after watching a course or video clip. With these low-stakes assessments, learners get a real-time gauge of their understanding without the pressure of scored quizzes.

We've added just-in-time knowledge checks to approximately 260 of the platform's most popular courses. Just-in-time knowledge checks provide:

• Instant knowledge validation: Learners can quickly check their knowledge, solidifying what they’ve learned and building their confidence. 

• Targeted review: Learners can use just-in-time knowledge checks to pinpoint specific topics or concepts they might be struggling with, allowing them to immediately review what they’ve learned before moving on.

• Active engagement: Interactive self-assessments keep employees engaged and focused on the content without adding unnecessary stress.

Iris is a powerful learning tool for both learners and leaders responsible for upskilling their teams.

Learners can use Iris as a personal learning assistant to:

• Find the right content for their learning goals and build custom learning paths

• Test what they’ve learned with just-in-time knowledge checks

Our new AI translations provide an authentic multilingual experience by instantly translating video audio into languages like Latin-American Spanish, German, and French. More than 500 translated courses are available.

AI translations within Pluralsight offer:

• Authentic and relatable content: Our AI goes beyond simple translation. It also adapts cultural accents and tones, making the content more natural for learners.

• Seamless multilingual learning: Learners can dynamically switch between languages, creating a barrier-free experience for multilingual learners or people practicing a new language.

• Enhanced accessibility: Synchronized subtitles and lip sync ensure accessibility for learners with hearing impairments or those who prefer reading along.

Beyond our AI learning tools, we're rolling out a suite of user experience (UX) and administrative enhancements to make your Pluralsight journey even more intuitive and efficient.

Some of these enhancements include:

• Streamlined navigation: We created a simplified learner home, refreshed navigation design, and improved Search and Browse functionality to make content discovery and platform navigation more intuitive and efficient.

• Pluralsight Integrations Hub: We created a centralized resource to easily find, understand, and self-serve our full catalog of integrations.

• Improved content discoverability: We enhanced content visibility for organizations so learners will only see the content they have access to in Search and Browse results.

• Upgraded reporting: We consolidated eight distinct data exports into a single, standardized CSV file, creating a single source of truth for user engagement analysis.
