Before You Start
Hey, this is Alex and now you're watching the next module called Before You Start. I created this module for introducing you to what does it mean, getting an SAP system in the cloud, showing you what you will get when you sign up for this cloud service, explaining to you the start and stop approach with which you can save lots of money, and I will also share my latest bill with you so you can get an insight about how much it will cost you if you use this cloud service. At last, we will discuss about the roadmap that you will follow for the rest of the course. Alright, this is your objective for this module. Let's start with the first topic and discuss, what does it mean, getting your SAP system in the cloud.

Amazon Web Services Account
Hey, this is Alex and now you're watching the next module called Amazon Web Services Account. After you completed module 1, we will move on and start working on your own Amazon Web Services account. You will need this account for getting your SAP system in the SAP Cloud Appliance Library. If you do not already have this AWS account, you will start creating a new one from scratch. You will fill out simple forms like when you sign up for Facebook or Google. Note that you will also need to enter your payment information for signing up. Once you are ready with your new account, you will sign an into the management console area and set the proper authorizations for the SAP Cloud Appliance Library. You will create a new user, assign it to a group, and set the required policies for the group. Alright, this will be your objective for this module. Let's start with the first task, create a new AWS account from scratch.

SAP Cloud Appliance Library Account
Hey, this is Alex and now you're watching the next module called SAP Cloud Appliance Library account. After complimenting module 2, we will move on and start working on your SAP Cloud Appliance Library account. For getting your SAP system in the cloud, this account is also required. If you do not already have this SAP CAL account, you will start creating a new one from scratch. The sign-up process will be a simple account. You will fill out simple forms like this. After the successful activation, you will connect your AWS account to your newly created SAP CAL account. Let's prepare your credentials CSV file because you will need it in this module. Alright, this is your objective for this module. Let's start with the first task, create a new SAP CAL account.

Getting Your SAP System
Hey, this is Alex and now you are watching the next module called Getting your SAP System. After completing module 3, we will move on and start working on your own SAP development system. You have done all the required sign-ups so you have everything to get your own SAP system. First, you will create your own SAP instance using one of the preconfigured SAP solution templates. Although your task will take around 5 minutes, but the complete process will take around 60 minutes. As soon as your system is up and running, you will check the system. SAP prepared you a frontend machine for the case if you don't have the SAP GUI installed on your PC or laptop. If you have the SAP GUI installed on your computer, SAP also prepares you different SAP logon shortcuts, so you will try to log on using these shortcuts as well. Alright, this is your objective for this module. Let's start with the first task and create your own SAP development system in the SAP CAL.

Managing Your SAP Licenses
Hey, this is Alex and now you are watching the next module called Managing Your SAP Licenses. After completing module 4, we will move on and start working on your SAP licenses, your SAP system is up and running, but unfortunately at this stage you are not allowed to create any new development objects in the system and this is due to your temporary licenses. In this module you will start with requesting a new 90 days miniSAP license for your SAP system. To request this license, you will need the hardware key of your SAP system. As soon as you receive the license key file in your mailbox, you will start installing the license. It will be very simple. You will only open this file within the S license transaction and that's it. You won't stop here because you will also need to request a new 90 days miniSAP license for your SAP HANA database. The installation process for this license will be also very simple. You will delete the old license and install the new one. Alright, this is your objective for this module. Let's start with the first task and request your own 90 days miniSAP license for your SAP NetWeaver system.

Before You Leave
Hey, this is Alex and now you are watching the next module called Before You Leave. After completing module 5, you will move on and watch the closing module. I created this module only for helping you for the case if you don't need the systems you activated. It's very important. Perform the steps you see in this module only if you want to terminate your system in the SAP CAL and if you want to terminate your AWS account. So please do not perform the steps you see in this module if you want to use your SAP systems. During the recording of this course, the UI of the SAP CAL has changed a bit. Don't worry, only the UI changed; the core functions remain the same. First, I will show you how you can terminate your SAP system if you don't need it anymore. Then I will also show you how you can terminate your AWS account for the case if you don't need it anymore. Alright, this is your objective for this module. Let's start with the first topic, How to Terminate Your SAP System.
