Course Overview Hi everyone. My name is Jeremy Jarrell. Welcome to my course Achieving an Agile Mindset with ICAgile. I'm an Agile coach who helps teams get better at doing what they love. Many teams begin their Agile journey by focusing on a certain Agile methodology or framework. But did you know that to create sustainable change inside of your organization, you must transcend any single Agile methodology and instead pursue an overarching Agile mindset? In this course, you will learn the underlying values and principles of today's most common Agile methodologies, so you can achieve the mindset you need to create long lasting change inside of your organization. Some of the major topics we'll cover will include understanding the origins of an Agile approach, as well as how this approach evolved from earlier structure development methodologies. You'll learn how to make sense of the touchstone for Agile development, the Agile manifesto, and how to truly discern the deeper ideas behind the manifesto. You'll learn how to apply Agile to activities outside of product development, such as sales and marketing, so you're entire organization can benefit from this new approach to delivering value. And you'll learn how you can plan your own approach pursuing Agile mastery, so you can be sure that you get the most out of each step of your pursuit. By the end of this course, you'll have a deep understanding of the values and principles underlying today's most popular Agile methodologies so you can guide your organization to success on their own Agile journey, regardless of whichever methodology they choose. I hope you'll join me on this journey to building a strong foundation for Agile mastery with the Achieving an Agile Mindset with ICAgile course at Pluralsight.
Establishing an Agile Mindset My name is Jeremy Jarrell, and welcome to Establishing an Agile Mindset, part of the Achieving an Agile Mindset with ICAgile course of the ICAgile Certified Professional Agile Fundamentals path. In the last module, you learned how to interpret the values and principles that are outlined in the Agile Manifesto, as well as how these values and principles might apply to your own team. In this module, you'll learn how to form an Agile mindset that will help you apply an Agile approach in any situation. So far in this course, we've talked a lot about how Agile methods can be applied to product development projects, but Agile methods aren't just limited to use in product development. In fact, the value-based, non-prescriptive nature of an Agile approach means that not only can this approach be valuable in the development of technology products, but that it can also add value to non-technology products. To understand this application of an Agile approach, in this module you'll learn how to apply an Agile approach in any problem space, even problem spaces outside of product development, as well as what traits most often appear in an Agile approach and how to recognize those traits in today's most common Agile methodologies.
