Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Simona Pfreundner, and welcome to my course, Package Redesign in Adobe CC. I'm a graphic designer with 10 years of experience in packaging and label design, and my works can be seen all over the world in big box stores, local drug markets, and liquor stores. Not only have I designed labels and packaging for bath and beauty products using instruments and bind experience, I also have been teaching graphic design both online and in the classroom. Packaging design to me is the most vibrant and energetic division of the design industry. Seeing your creation in stores can be very rewarding. This course focuses on the redesign of an existing packaging, and together we'll turn a redesign request into design ideas, and take a concept to final production. This is a real world project, with an actual design brief, and you'll be able to see the final packaging design in stores. In this course, we are going to learn the ins and outs of packaging design. Not only will we get an insight into a creative brief, we'll also learn the design process from brainstorming, to concept development, creating digital mockups for a client presentation, implementing feedback, working with printer files, and preparing everything for the final production of the packaging. By the end of this course, you'll have a solid understanding on how to take on a packaging design from project brief through all aspects of the design in the production. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn packaging design with the Package Redesign in Adobe CC course at Pluralsight.
