In this tutorial, we will learn to create an abstract creature in Maya using KRAKATOA and composite our shots in Fusion. Software required: Maya 2013, KRAKATOA MY, Fusion 6.3, Genarts Sapphire 6, Frischluft Lenscare .
In this tutorial, we will learn to create an abstract creature in Maya using KRAKATOA and composite our shots in Fusion. Throughout these lessons, we will look at how to create a complete shot from conception to the final product. We'll start by using Maya's built-in effects as a base for our particles and then delve into KRAKATOA to learn the fundamentals of this tool, as well as explore several KRAKATOA settings and render several shots using the KRAKATOA renderer. Finally, we will begin to composite using advanced compositing techniques to create a series of high-quality shots. By the end of this training, you should feel comfortable using KRAKATOA with Maya and Fusion in your current workflow. Software required: Maya 2013, KRAKATOA MY, Fusion 6.3, Genarts Sapphire 6, Frischluft Lenscare .
Introduction and Project Overview Hi everyone, my name is Terry Riyasat. I am a Compositing Supervisor and 3D Artist working out of Toronto, Canada. I've been working in the industry for over nine years, and have had the pleasure of working on projects ranging from film to commercials, and spending the bulk of my time in television. In this course, we're going to create a particle creature with Krakatoa in Maya and composite it in Fusion. Some of the key topics we will be discussing in this course will include: the use of Krakatoa in Maya; lighting and rendering of particles, and also compositing several shots using advanced compositing techniques. By the end of this training, you will have learned the fundamentals of Krakatoa in Maya, and will be able to render out millions of particles. You'll also learn how to take these renders into a compositing package and create high quality shots in a short period of time. So let's get started with the first lesson.
