Course Overview (trailer)
Hi everyone. My name is Chris Achard, and welcome to my course, Analyzing Data Visualization Requirements. I'm an independent software consultant with 10 years of experience, and creating visualizations is a critical part of my work for clients. We live in a visual world, and there is more and more data being created all the time, so knowing how to create visualizations from a dataset is an essential skill to learn. In this course, we are going to take the first step and learn how to analyze a dataset and visualization requirements in order to make the more impactful visualization possible. Some of the major topics that we will cover include exploring types of visualizations, distinguishing different types of data, using visualizations to explore a dataset or to explain a topic, and adjusting your visualization for different audiences and media types. By the end of this course, you'll know how to get started on a data visualization project, and how to take a look at your data and plan what visualizations you could create. Before beginning this course, you should be familiar with some basic data visualizations. From here, you should feel comfortable diving into data visualization with courses on creating and implementing data visualizations. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn how to visualize your data with the Analyzing Data Visualization Requirements course, at Pluralsight.
