Course Overview
(Music playing) Hi everyone, my name is Miguel Beltran, and welcome to my course, Android Fundamentals: Common Actions Using Intents. I'm a freelance consultant. I've been building mobile apps for 10 years and teaching is one of my passions. Intents allow apps to communicate with other apps; for example, to start a call, create a calendar event, or play your favorite music album. In this course, we're going to learn about the different implicit intents available in the Android platform, their use, and their limitations. Some of the major topics that we will cover include actions using implicit intents, intent filters, retrieving data with intents, and debugging intent issues. By the end of this course, you will know how to use intents to perform actions and improve the user experience of your applications. Before beginning this course, you should be familiar with Android development, have a basic knowledge of Kotlin, and have a working environment for making Android apps. I hope you will join me on this journey to learn about actions with intents with the Android Fundamentals: Common Actions Using Intents course at Pluralsight.
