AWS operations are more complicated than simple dashboard clicks. This course teaches you how to master the AWS command-line interface to automate operations, including configuration, logging and auditing, and stepping up to serverless technologies.
Manual operations using a web console are time consuming and error-prone. In, this course, Mastering AWS Command-line Interface Operations, you'll learn how to use the AWS API from both the shell and Python scripts. First, you will learn how to use the CLI for single tasks. Next, you will learn how to connect commands together into complex workflows. Finally, you will explore scripts using AWS Lambda with Python and PowerShell. By the end of this course, you'll know the fundamentals for nearly any operational work that involves the command line and the best practices around securing the command line and its use.
Course Overview Hi everyone, my name is Chad Smith, and welcome to my course, Mastering AWS Command-line Interface Operations. I am an AWS certified architect and trainer and have been immersed in AWS for the last six years. Amazon Web Services is the most widely used cloud service offering in the world. Many companies have migrated IT infrastructure to AWS or are in the middle of migrations. The AWS console is easy to learn, but not appropriate for automation. In this course, we're going to get away from the AWS console for operations and dive into the Command Line Interface. There are many strategies covered, which make the CLI easier to use for complex operations. Some of the major topics that we will cover include securing and auditing line interface usage, creating complex commands and connecting them together for larger workflows, as well as serverless technologies and managed services and where they fit for operational work. By the end of this course, you'll know the fundamentals for nearly any operational work that involves the command line and the best practices around securing the command line and its use. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with the more popular offerings in the AWS ecosystem, such as EC2 and S3. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn the AWS CLI with Mastering AWS Command- line Interface Operations at Pluralsight.
