Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is John Montgomery, and welcome to my course, Data Warehousing with Amazon Redshift. I am a senior software engineer at Capital One. The scale of data being processed today is vastly larger, and the proper tools must be used to handle and process this data efficiently. In this course, we are going to learn about how to use Redshift for large-scale data processing tasks. Some of the major topics that we will cover include building and configuring your own Redshift cluster, designing your tables for optimal efficiency and performance, loading data into Redshift from S3, and creating your own custom transformations for your data. By the end of this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to set up a Redshift cluster for your own organization and be able to start performing large-scale data analysis on your own. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with basic AWS and SQL concepts.
