Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Tim Warner, and welcome to my course, Prepare to Pass the Azure Solutions (70-532) Exam. I'm a full-time trainer and technology evangelist at Pluralsight. This course serves as a global overview to our learning path for Microsoft exam 70-532, Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions. Some of the major topics that we'll cover include understanding how the Microsoft Azure certification portfolio works, building your Microsoft Azure development environment, and mastering the mechanics that underlie the 70-532 certification exam. By the end of this course, you'll know precisely how Microsoft Azure certification works, and you'll also be fully prepared to dive into the actual subject matter. By the way, the courses in our 70-532 learning path map exactly to Microsoft's published exam objectives, published at the Microsoft Learning website. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with basic computer skills. I'm really assuming nothing by way of your previous experience with Microsoft Azure certification. From here, you should feel comfortable diving in to the rest of the 70-532 learning path, those courses are entitled Design and Implement Web Apps, Create and Manage Virtual Machines, Design and Implement Cloud Services, Design and Implement a Storage Strategy, and Manage Application and Network Services. I hope you'll join me on this journey to understand Microsoft Azure certification, with the Prepare to Pass the Azure Solutions (70-532) course at Pluralsight.

Build Your Microsoft Azure Development Environment
Hello there and welcome to Pluralsight. My name is Tim Warner, and this module is entitled, Build Your Microsoft Azure Development Environment. As we normally do, let's take a quick look at our bird's-eye view of the 70-532 learning path. The first course is Prepare to Pass, and that's what we're doing right now, this is an extra course that I like to throw in that surrounds the actual learning path. The content domains from the 70-532 exam map to the courses Design and Implement Web Apps, Create and Manage Virtual Machines, Design and Implement Cloud Services, Design and Implement a Storage Strategy, and then finally Manage Application and Network Services. We're at the midpoint of this Prepare to Pass course, the first module was called Understand Microsoft Azure Certification. Today we're doing the Azure Development Environment making sure that our tool chain is in place. The third module is Exam Tips and Tricks for 70-532 specifically. What are you going to learn over the course of this module? Well I have two learning goals for you, the first is understanding Microsoft Azure subscriptions, and then after we do that the main lion's share of our time will be assembling our Azure development tool kit. Note that we're going to stay with first-party tools, which is to say, development tools produced by Microsoft itself. We always have to remember that when we take a vendor's IT certification exam, we're not going to be tested on other vendor's tools and technologies. With that, let's get started.

Master the 70-532 Exam
Hello and welcome to Pluralsight. My name is Tim Warner, and this module is entitled Master the 70-532 Exam. Our learning path for Microsoft Exam 70-532 consists of a few courses. This first one that we're finishing today is Prepare to Pass the Exam, and then if you go to Microsoft Learning and look up the 70-532 blueprint, you'll find that those objective domains map exactly to what we cover in the following courses. We have Web Apps, Virtual Machines, Cloud Services, Storage, and ultimately Network Services. This Prepare to Pass course is just a brief general introduction. The first of the three modules in the course dealt with understanding the Microsoft Azure certification, then in the second module we built our development box that we'll be relying upon throughout the remainder of this learning path, and then of course where we are today is finishing the course on exam strategies. So to that point I have three learning objectives for us today. The first is to cover exam 70-532 metadata. In the first module in this course we looked at the certification track, but here we're going to drill specifically on the test. We're going to review Microsoft item types, if you've never take a Microsoft certification exam this is going to be particularly important for you, and I'm also going to give you good tips and tricks. I've been writing practice exam items since the late '90s, so I have a lot of experience as both a test taker, as well as a test giver. Let's get started.
