With each model of SharePoint, it becomes more difficult to choose which model will work for you. This course will help you learn the necessary components and reasons behind picking the right implementation model of SharePoint for your business.
As time goes on, each of the SharePoint implementation models seems to get more complex, making it difficult to know which model will work now and, more importantly, in the future. In this course, Big Picture: SharePoint 2016 On-prem, Online, or Hybrid?, you will go through each of the SharePoint implementation models in depth. First, you will learn what the different implementation models are and get a good high-level understanding of the differences of each model. Next, you'll learn what it's like managing SharePoint Online, and the additional features companies get with SharePoint Online, as well as covering, in depth, the SharPoint On-premises implementation model and the resources and considerations to take into account. Finally, will learn about SharePoint Hybrid and how this can give you the best of both SharePoint Online and On-premises and see some real world examples of SharePoint Hybrid and what it's like to be in a hybrid environment. After finishing this course, you should understand the differences between each model, along with some helpful real-world examples of when you might choose each model.

Course Overview Hi everyone, my name is Jeff Collins, and welcome to my course, Big Picture: SharePoint On-premises, Online, and Hybrid. I am the owner of a SharePoint consulting business based out of Las Vegas, and I've been working with SharePoint since 2007. I'm focused on driving adoption and building better collaboration within organizations. You may want to take this course for a better understanding of the implementation models of SharePoint because they seem to only get more complex as time goes on. Also, new features are being rolled out often, making it difficult to know what model will fit your business now, and more importantly five years from now. We'll focus on what each model is, and what it's like supporting each model from an IT perspective. Some of the major topic we will cover include learn about SharePoint Online, and the additional features that you get with Office 365, how SharePoint On-premises provides you the ability to make SharePoint work for your business your way, and then finally we're going to cover how SharePoint Hybrid allows you to have the best of both worlds. By the end of this course, you'll feel more confident in making the decision on which SharePoint implementation model to choose, but before beginning this course, you should be familiar with SharePoint licensing, and know what you already have available to your business. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn about the different implementation models of SharePoint in my course, Big Picture: SharePoint 2016, On-premises, Online, and Hybrid at Pluralsight.
