Description

Have you ever wanted to create intricate 3D CAD models at a faster pace? Revolve and sweep modeling techniques are the easiest way to model non-geometrical shapes. In this course, CATIA V5 Essentials - Revolve and Sweeps, you'll dive into learning some of those techniques in CATIA V5. First, you'll learn techniques to create a 3D solid with the revolve functionality. Next, you'll acquire skills to model intricate shapes using the sweep functionality. Finally, you'll wrap up the course by spending sometime time learning the tools for thin features for 3D part modeling. By the end of this course, you'll gain the skills to model simple and complex design tasks in a short period of time. Software required: CATIA V5 2016.

Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Aditya, and welcome to my course, CATIA V5 Essentials - Revolve and Sweeps. I'm an engineering enthusiast, gearhead, and I'm currently an author at Pluralsight. Revolve and sweep modeling techniques are the easiest way to model non-geometrical shapes, as not all designs are of the square or rectangular type. In this course we are going to learn how to apply revolve and sweep functionality to get proficient with the 3D CAD modeling process in CATIA V5. Some of the major topics that we will cover include: sketching rules for revolve and sweeps, revolve techniques, sweep techniques, and thin features. By the end of this course you'll gain skills to model simple and complex design tasks in a short period of time in CATIA V5. This course is a follow up to the CATIA V5 Essentials: Part Modeling course and the Symmetry and Patterns course. And before you begin this course you should be familiar with part modeling techniques. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn 3D CAD modeling with CATIA V5 Essentials - Revolve and Sweeps course, at Pluralsight.
