Course Overview
(Music) Hello, everyone. My name is Lyron and welcome to my course, CCSP: Cloud Governance, Data Privacy, and Audit. I am a cloud security consultant, authorized ISC Squared trainer, and author of multiple official ISC Squared student guides. Is your organization considering moving to the cloud or already consuming cloud services? Successful adoption of cloud services begins with defining governance. Often when an organization experiences what they perceives to be technology issues, it really stems from a lack of governance. Adoption of cloud services is not an elixir that makes organizational issues automatically become resolved. Does your market in data subjects spanned multiple regions and countries? A simple maxim to remember is follow the law that you are closest to. In this course, we are going to be learning how to describe and develop the elements that support cloud governance, which will include defining policies, roles, and responsibilities. Understanding legal issues concerning intellectual property, jurisdictional differences among nations, and how to implement e-discovery. Enumerating data privacy frameworks that prepare your organization to use audit as a basis for assurance of the cloud provider's controls. By the end of this course, you will have the basic skills needed to develop cloud governance for your organization along with basic tools to be ready for data privacy issues based upon where you are doing business around the globe. I hope you will join me on this journey to learn how to properly provide cloud governance, data privacy, and audit in the CCSP: Cloud Governance, Data Privacy, and Audit course at Pluralsight.
