Course Overview
Welcome to Pluralsight. My name is Sean Wilkins, and I am a network engineer, author, and technical editor at InfoDispersion. I'm excited to welcome you to my course, Cisco DevOps 300‑910: Automating Infrastructure. This course is one of many courses that are being placed into the Pluralsight library to cover Cisco DevOps solutions. This course specifically is targeted on the common solutions that are available to automate the infrastructure of an enterprise. The first module discusses the concepts that are being used inside modern enterprise environments, including a review of DevOps and NetDevOps concepts, infrastructure as code, and some of the common applications that are used in the deployed solutions. The second module reviews Terraform, the current sole player in the infrastructure deployment space, including a review of its architecture and use. The third module covers Ansible, one of a few different configuration management tools that is commonly used to manage deployed remote solution elements. And the fourth module takes a look at the combination of Terraform and Ansible and how they are commonly used to both provision an environment and control and manage the elements that are provisioned. By the end of this course, you'll have a firm base of understanding in the concepts surrounding NetDevOps and infrastructure as code, as well as a clear starting point for deploying infrastructure and configuration management solutions. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn about Net DevOps and infrastructure as code and the tools that go along with them in the Cisco DevOps 300‑910: Automating Infrastructure course at Pluralsight.
