In this course, Setting up a Cloud Solution Environment on Google Cloud, you will learn foundational knowledge of/gain the ability to set up a project for your organization.
First, you will learn how to create projects, manage permissions, and enable APIs.
Next, you will discover how to handle billing including exporting your billing information to Big Query.
Finally, you will explore how to install the Cloud SDK and set up gcloud to use your projects.

Course Overview Hi everyone. My name is James Wilson, and welcome to my course, Setting up a Cloud Solution Environment on Google Cloud. I am an engineer that is building exciting software on the Google Cloud Platform with products such as App Engine, BigQuery, and Cloud Pub/Sub. Getting started on any cloud platform can feel cumbersome and overwhelming. There are so many aspects that can consume administrative, engineering, and operational resources. In this course, we are going to start with the basics, so you can start building the next great idea that can be distributed to a global customer base. Some of the major topics that we will cover include creating projects in Google Cloud, building an organization and managing users, setting up billing, budgets, and alerts, and leveraging the cloud SDK and gcloud command-line tool. By the end of this course, you'll know how to set up and manage multiple projects on the Google Cloud Platform for your organization. No prior knowledge is necessary before taking this course; however, you may find it easier to follow along by first watching Howard Dierking's excellent course, Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals.
