Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Frederico Aranha, but please, call me Fred. Welcome to my course, Understanding IT Governance Drivers and Principles. I am a project management and governance consultant and will be your guide on this exciting journey. How do IT industry leaders think? How do they work on their day to day? In this course, you will be introduced to the tools used by chief officers working in large corporations to run their operations. By understanding more about IT governance, you will be able to relate yourself to C‑level professionals and to expand your career potential for growth and development. Some of the major topics that we will cover include governance drivers and principles, how to meet stakeholder needs, balanced scorecards, governance and management differences, and much more. Even though this is an introductory course, trust me, it will blow your mind. I'll teach you how to apply governance techniques, and by the time you finish it, you will be already able to start working with governance. This course is the first of four in our COBIT 5 Foundation path. From here, keep studying with us so you can become certified as a COBIT 5 foundation professional. I hope you will join me in this journey to learn IT governance with the Understanding IT Governance Drivers and Principles, here at Pluralsight.
