First, you’ll explore how to obtain Palo Alto software. Next, you’ll discover how to deploy the Palo Alto firewall into your home lab. Finally, you’ll learn how to deploy other components in your lab such as servers, routers, and desktops. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of creating your own home lab to practice and follow along with the concepts learned in the Palo Alto Firewall Skillpath.

Course Overview
Hey everyone. My name is Craig Stansbury, and welcome to my course, Configure Palo Alto Firewalls in a Home Lab. I'm a network security consultant for my company, StansTECH. Did you know that without practicing what you are learning, it can be more difficult to fully grasp the concepts? Practicing and following along with any topic allows for better retention, as well as allowing for experimental learning and encouraging self‑learning. This course is going to teach you how to set up your own lab in order to fall along in the Palo Alto skill path. Some of the major topics that we will cover include configuring a lab to support a Palo Alto firewall and other network infrastructure components, obtaining a legal copy of the Palo Alto next‑generation firewall software, importing a Palo Alto into the lab, and importing other devices into the lab that can interact with the Palo Alto firewall. By the end of this course, you will know how to set up a Palo Alto firewall home lab to follow along with the Palo Alto Firewalls for Network Protection skill path. From here, continue your learning by diving into Palo Alto security with courses on Deploy, Administer, and Secure Palo Alto Firewalls, configure NAT and VPNs using Palo Alto firewalls, manage Palo Alto firewalls with Panorama and implement high availability. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn how to create a Palo Alto home lab with the Configure Palo Alto Firewalls in a Home Lab course, at Pluralsight.
