Description

We've reached a tipping point. There's a convergence happening right now - cloud, containers and Kubernetes, mobile devices and edge computing, and 5G - and it's enabling innovations and changes to the way we do just about everything.

In this course, Containers on AWS Wavelength, you’ll learn how to deploy edge applications to EKS (Kubernetes) clusters with nodes in AWS Wavelength zones.

First, you’ll explore what AWS Wavelength zones are and why they're important to delivering ultra-low latency 5G apps.

Next, you’ll discover how to deploy infrastructure, including carrier gateways and Kubernetes nodes, to Wavelength zones.

Finally, you’ll learn how to deploy applications to EKS clusters with nodes in Wavelength zones.

When you’re finished with this course, you'll be ready to start deploying low-latency containerized 5G apps to AWS Wavelength.

Course Overview
Hi, I'm Nigel. I'm a longtime cloud and container geek, I'm a Docker captain, I've written best selling books on the topics, and I have got a ton of courses here, at Pluralsight. Well let me tell you, this course, Containers on AWS Wavelength, this is the most exciting course I've created since probably my first Docker course way back in the day. And the reason is, and I hate saying this because it's such an overused term, but the best way I can think of describing this topic is game changing, it literally is. So we've got this convergence of cloud, containers in Kubernetes, mobile devices and edge computing, and 5G, and it's like the perfect storm that's enabling whole new generations of infrastructure and applications that are powering innovations and changes to the way that we do well, just about everything. And look, if you think I'm going over the top here, well, I don't blame you, but hold the thought, watch the course, and when you're finished, see if you still think the same because I think you'll be surprised. Anyway, it'll help if you know the basics of cloud and containers, but in this course, you'll learn all about 5G and edge computing and how to use AWS wavelength to deploy modern infrastructure and apps close to the edge for game changing ultra low latency. And when you're done, I promise you'll be excited to boost your cloud architecture with 5G connectivity using AWS wavelength. So join me on this journey as we unfold a whole new world of opportunity. Seriously.
