Course Overview
Hi, everyone. My name is Emilio Melo, and welcome to my course, Creating Mapping Data Flows on Azure Data Factory. I am a cloud solutions architect at Cloud Advantage with a focus on data and AI technologies. Data engineering is one of the hottest topics in the IT industry at the moment. As the velocity, volume, and variety of data nowadays requires skills beyond just traditional ETL, and Azure Data Factory, as Microsoft's main cloud response to these data transformation needs, has become quite a popular tool. In this course, we're going to go over how to perform transformations by creating mapping data flows on Azure Data Factory. Some of the major topics that we're going to go over include what are mapping data flows and how to create and configure them, simple data flow transformations, such as filters, sorts, and selects, how to create and combine multiple streams of data on mapping data flows, and how to work with more advanced transformations, such as parses, flattens, and pivots. By the end of this course, you'll be able to create complex mapping data flows on Azure Data Factory. Before beginning this course, you should have some basic familiarity with Azure and Data Factory concepts. From here, you should feel comfortable diving into other Azure data and AI topics. I hope you will join me on this journey to learn mapping data flows with the Creating Mapping Data Flows on Azure Data Factory course at Pluralsight.
