Introduction and Project Overview
Hello everyone, my name is Alex Alvarado. I am a concept artist for Star Team, LLC. I am currently working on the children's virtual world game, Star Guardians. For the past five years, I have been working in both the video games and film and television industries filling a multitude of roles. In this course, we will take on Boss Battle Environment Design. Together, we'll go through the design brief, establishing a list of objectives that we'll need to make sure we create so that the boss battle is memorable and more importantly, fun. Once we've picked a thumbnail, we'll sketch out a secondary view of that same environment just so we can see it on all sides. After that, we'll begin blocking in the values in greyscale, giving us a better idea of how the lighting will work in the environment. Next, we'll color in the environment and really give it some life. When you've completed this course, you should be able to step into a design meeting better prepared and ready to knock it out of the park. So, sign in or sign up and let the boss battle begin.
