Course Overview Hello, everyone. My name is Doru Catana, and welcome to my course, Developing Change Readiness Skills. After doing marketing and consulting for close to 15 years now, I can vouch for the fact that there is no skill more important, more vital, than your ability to change and adapt to new circumstances. The main purpose of this course is to instill in you the mindset and philosophy that will allow you to deal with any unforeseen problems and challenges, to give you the tools and resources to take advantage of new opportunities and do so with a minimum of resistance, be it internal or external. And here's how we're going to tackle this. We'll first identify your own unique why, your motives to adopt change and also help you better define it. After we get this out of the way, we'll look at dealing with adversity and change resistance, meeting head‑on the main challenge in your pursuit of change readiness. Afterwards, we don't waste any time and jump right to the actual framework to develop your change readiness skills. And instead of addressing them individually, we look at things in what I consider a far more effective approach. The main objective is for you to take action, and that happens at the intersection of three things: your desire, your want to do it; your knowledge, your what to do; and your skill, your how to do it. We cover all of them in detail, with a strong focus on your own unique scenario. So be prepared for quite a few exercises, where you'll have to think things through in order to get the most value out of the course. And then we also address the team dynamic of change readiness because, let's face it, you won't be doing this alone. Solid and healthy communication and collaboration are paramount. And my personal promise to you is that by the end of this course, you'll have a clear and actionable framework that will allow you to not only effectively react to problems and challenges, but also become a driving force of change in your organization, in your industry, and in your own life. I hope you'll join me on this journey of developing your change readiness skills here on Pluralsight.
