Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Chris B. Behrens, and welcome to my course, DevOps Foundations: Core Concepts and Fundamentals. I've been working in DevOps since before it was called DevOps. Having done this, I'm going to use this course to share with you the big principles that I wish I'd known from the start. Some of the major topics that we will cover include lean software development and how this bears on DevOps, the first step with DevOps, implementing a software build, the big win of automating your deployments, and how to help your enterprise adopt DevOps practices. By the end of this course, you will have a good grasp of the DevOps landscape and a decent roadmap of where you can take your organization, complete with pointers to more in‑depth learning. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with the software and product development cycle in general from either an IT or a programming perspective. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn the big picture of DevOps with the DevOps Foundations: Core Concepts and Fundamentals course at Pluralsight.
