Course Overview
Hi everyone. Welcome to my course, Full‑stack Serverless Apps with AWS Amplify: Getting Started. I am a software developer, a data capture, and a business automation specialist. AWS Amplify is a set of tools and services that can be used together or on their own to help front‑end web and mobile developers build scalable full‑stack applications powered by Amazon Web Services. With Amplify you can configure app back end and connect your application in minutes, deploy static web apps in a few clicks, and also easily manage app content outside of AWS. Amplify supports popular web frameworks, including JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue, Next.js, and also mobile platforms including Android, iOS, React Native, Ionic, and Flutter. In this course, Full‑stack Serverless Apps with AWS Amplify: Getting Started, you will gain the ability to easily create full‑stack applications using front‑end technologies. Specifically, we'll be focusing on Vue. First, we will explore how to use authentication to sign up, sign in, and sign out of AWS by adding identity and access management. Next, we will discover how to work with AWS Amplify DataStore and be able to save and store data confidently. After that, we will learn how to use the GraphQL API to perform CRUD operations on the Amplify DataStore. Finally, we will learn how to combine all these techniques to build your own full‑stack serverless application without needing to know any back‑end software development technology. Some of the major topics we will cover include the value of Amplify, Amplify features, Amplify project set up, authentication, GraphQL SDLs, and data operations, and finally, understanding how these technologies and principles get applied. By the end of this course, you will have the skills and knowledge of working with AWS Amplify to easily build full‑stack serverless applications using only your existing front‑end coding skills. You will be able to follow along without any AWS costs. No prior experience on how to work with Amplify is needed, although some basic knowledge and proficiency of JavaScript, Vue, and GraphQL will come in handy. I hope you will join me on this journey to learn the ins and outs of the Full‑stack Serverless Apps with AWS Amplify: Getting Started course, at Pluralsight
