Course Overview
Hi, everyone. My name is Justin, and welcome to my course, Getting Started with Machine Learning using MATLAB. I am a mechatronics engineer, and I'm currently an engineering professor at Sheridan College. Prior to this, I have many years of engineering and consulting experience across numerous industries. This course is a beginner‑level course for learning the fundamentals of working with MATLAB and machine learning. So some prior knowledge of MATLAB or machine learning might be beneficial but is not required. Some of the major topics that we will cover include understanding and working with the MATLAB user interface, building a simple MATLAB script, importing data into MATLAB, and implementing a data science workflow with MATLAB. By the end of this course, you will be proficient in the fundamental techniques required to work with MATLAB on basic data science and machine learning problems. From here, continue your learning by diving into MATLAB and data science with courses on MATLAB Fundamentals, Perform Predictive Modeling with MATLAB, and Building Your First Data Analysis Workflow with MATLAB. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn MATLAB fundamentals for data science and machine learning with the Getting Started with Machine Learning using MATLAB course, at Pluralsight.
