Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Eric Wright, and welcome to my course, Deploying and Operating HashiCorp Nomad. I'm a podcaster, technology evangelist, and blogger with over two decades of experience running real production environments at scale. Nomad is one of the many exciting platforms that's come from the HashiCorp ecosystem, and I'm a fan of the technology and what it enables you to do both as a technologist and for the real outcomes that it can enable with scalable, super easy, and robust set of capabilities. In this course, we're going to cover a lot of content from managing your cluster, deploying and managing your applications, and important things like monitoring high availability and how to upgrade so you can be completely ready for day‑two operations in your HashiCorp Nomad environment. Some of the major things we're going to cover include managing and monitoring your Nomad infrastructure and the running jobs, architecting both jobs and infrastructure for scalability and resiliency, plus running a real multi‑node upgrade using our fully functional lab that you can use and build in minutes using infrastructure as code, and I call this the Nomad AWS minilab. By the end of this course, you're going to know common day‑two operational processes and be comfortable operating a real production Nomad environment. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with basic Linux admin skills and cloud and container concepts and have some exposure to Nomad, which you can also get from my Getting Started with HashiCorp Nomad course, here on Pluralsight. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn Nomad with the Deploying and Operating HashiCorp Nomad course, here on Pluralsight.
