Course Overview
Hi, everyone. My name is Christian Wenz, and welcome to my course, Build Your First Data Visualization with Highcharts. I'm an independent developer and architect, and support many companies in everything web, including web performance and web application security. Did you know that Highcharts originated in the small village of Vik in Norway? It was first released over a decade ago and is one of the most popular JavaScript charting libraries. This course is a fast‑paced introduction to Visualizing Data with Highcharts. I will show you how to set up the library and then showcase many of the available features, always with code examples. Some of the major topics that we will cover include loading Highcharts into a website, creating different types of charts, using themes for charts, importing external data sources, and creating periodically‑updated live charts. By the end of this course, you will know your way around Highcharts, being able to create all kinds of charts. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with HTML and JavaScript. Basic knowledge of these technologies is sufficient. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn Highcharts with the Build Your First Data Visualization with Highcharts course, at Pluralsight.
