Description

Understanding what to use when inside of Azure App Services, and how it all ties together, can be daunting. In this course, Introduction to Azure App Services, you'll learn when and how to take advantage of this powerful platform. You'll start with an introduction to the basic concept of the cloud and what the benefits of it are and how Azure App Services provides this model as a platform. You'll then get into what Mobile Apps are, as well as some details about offline sync and push notifications. Before ending you'll get to see what Azure functions are and how you can use them to run small applications effortlessly. By the end of this course, you'll be ready to focus on creating great apps without having to worry about the plumbing.

Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Barry Luijbregts and welcome to my course, Introduction to Azure App Services. I am an independent software developer and architect, with a focus on cloud computing. The Azure App Services platform provides all of the plumbing and boring stuff for you so that you can focus on building the things you want. This course is an introduction of the Azure App Services platform that teaches you what app services are and why, and when you should use them. Some of the major topics that we will cover include how you can host web applications with web apps, providing a backend for your mobile applications with mobile apps, orchestrating business logic with logic apps, how to respond to events with Azure functions, and how all of the app services fit together, and what to use when. By the end of this course, you'll know what Azure App Services can do for you and why and when you should use them. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with the basics of application development and the basics of cloud computing. I hope that you'll join me on this journey to learn about app services with introduction to Azure App Services at Pluralsight.
